Woooah I loved this book! The way the stories collide so seamless is FANTASTIC.

A gripping story of suspense with two highly relatable and likable main characters who are both vulnerable yet strong and inspiring, this book will have you racing to the end.

Told from the alternating POV of Claire Cook, an abused woman trapped in a marriage to a strong and powerful politician, whose resources have her fearing to escape yet knowing staying with him will end in her death, and Eva, an expelled Berkeley student whose life seems to have spun out of control. I loved learning her heartbreaking backstory and desperation to love and be loved and I found both characters interesting and the resolution bittersweet.

I have read some good books recently and this one is right up there. Reminiscent of Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson this one will stick with me for many books to come.

A seriously gripping read, I cannot recommend this book enough to anyone who loved a page turning thriller (which is basically everyone who reads books right!?) A stunning 5/5 stars for me and I can't wait to go back and read Ms Clarks debut novel.
